The international association of conference interpreters is a non-profit association (under the 1901 French law), and was founded on November 11, 1953, in Paris to define and represent the profession of conference interpreter.

Today there are some 3,000 AIIC conference interpreters around the world working in 23 regions, 90 countries and 250 cities.

AIIC France has more than 425 professional conference interpreters with an exceptional range of over 130 language combinations.
